Dr. Peter B. Pryor Jr.

Dr. Peter Pryor Jr. was born and raised on a small farm outside Lexington, Kentucky. He completed his undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Psychology at Wake Forest University. Following his graduation, he briefly resided on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands and worked as a dental assistant. This life experience largely contributed to Dr. Pryor's decision to pursue a career in dental medicine. Dr. Pryor graduated from The University of Louisville School of Dentistry, in 2015, and served as an extern within the Seneca Nation Health System, in Irving, New York, prior to this graduation. He subsequently completed a two year general practice residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Through this residency program, he developed a wide breadth of knowledge concerning dental medicine in both hospital and private practice settings with a focus on severely medically compromised patients, orofacial trauma and infection, surgery (including dental implants), pediatrics, IV conscious sedation and special needs. 

After completing his residency program, Dr. Pryor moved to Alabama, where he worked in private practice in an underserved community. 
During the pandemic, Dr. Pryor returned to Clemmons, North Carolina to work in private practice with University Dental Associates. Dr. Pryor became an owner within this group in 2021. 
After 10 years practicing dentistry, Dr. Pryor made the decision to leave University Dental Associates to purchase a private practice of his own in Winston-Salem. Dr. Pryor is happy to be in Winston-Salem, doing what he loves. 

In his spare time, Dr. Pryor enjoys spending time with family, traveling, guitar, the outdoors and playing with his golden retriever, Clyde. 

Dr. Pryor has committed to becoming a life-long learner with memberships in the ADA, North Carolina Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Seattle Study Club, and Spear Study Group. He has also undergone additional training at the Dawson Academy.
